H&L POS is seeking a Point of Sale Trainer to join our growing team in Australia
Due to our increased and growing workload, we are now seeking an experienced Point of Sale Trainer to help coordinate our field-based technical services team across Australia.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere within commutable distance of our Adelaide or Melbourne offices, working in a hybrid work model
What your day will look like:
Training Development and Delivery:
* Develop and maintain up-to-date training materials, including manuals, guides and online resources
* Conduct training sessions for new employees and refresher courses for existing staff, ensuring they are proficient in using H&L
* Tailor training approaches to accommodate different learning styles and needs
System Updates and New Features:
* Stay informed about updates and new features of software
* Train staff on new functionalities and system enhancements
Support and Troubleshooting:
* Provide ongoing support to staff, answering questions and resolving issues related to H&L.
* Troubleshoot common problems and liaise with clients to provide solutions
Feedback and Improvement:
* Collect feedback from staff and clients regarding SW features and training effectiveness
* Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and performance assessments
Collaboration and Communication:
* Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the system aligns with business needs
* Communicate any system changes or updates to all relevant stakeholders
Compliance and Best Practices:
* Ensure all training and usage of systems comply with legal and company standards
* Keep abreast of industry best practices and integrate them into training and system usage
About You:
* A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Electronics, or a similar related field
* Proven experience as a Point of Sale – POS Trainer or similar role is essential
* Excellent understanding of POS – Point of Sale systems and their applications in a business setting
* Experience as a field technician, with a focus on POS systems, payment solutions, or IT support
* Proficiency in troubleshooting POS systems, network connectivity, and hardware components
* Familiarity with software applications related to POS, databases, and networking
* Basic understanding of SQL and system administration preferred
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to create engaging training materials and deliver effective training sessions
* Problem-solving skills and ability to handle technical issues
* Patience and a strong desire to assist others in learning new technologies
* Relevant educational background, preferably in IT, education, or a related field
* Additional Skills: Flexibility to adapt to different learning styles and environments
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
* Willingness to travel to client sites and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
* Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
* Legally authorized to work in Australia
