Goodwill Projects is one of Australia's largest and most awarded market, venue and event operators. Winners of the2023 Telstra Best of Business Award – Building Communities and the 2024 Australian Small Business Champion Awards, we have been delivering vibrant, community-focused experiences since 2006.

With a portfolio of 12 high-profile markets, Eat Street Northshore and over 100,000 weekly attendees, we create meaningful spaces where small businessthriveand communities connect.

Our company of 45+ team members oversee markets, events, and venue activations, including major lifestyle precincts and seasonal events. We are proudly independent and growing, with a strong reputation for professionalism, creativity and operational excellence.

About the Role:

We're looking for anEvents Marketing Managerwho can make our projectssing– someone with energy, experience, and a sixth sense for what drives crowds, clicks and community buzz. This role is perfect for someone with a knack for storytelling and brand thinking — someone who loves taking ownership, thrives in a collaborative environment, and knows how to bring bold, clever ideas to life.

You'll take the lead on the promotion and positioning of major markets, venue launches, precinct activations and seasonal events. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you'll be the bridge between creative thinking and commercial outcomes — overseeing campaigns from concept to delivery.

This isn't your first rodeo. You've launched things. You've sold out things. You've built relationships with designers, councils, stallholders and media. And now you want to do it all with a brand that actually makes people smile on the weekend.

While this role is primarily weekdays, some of the action happens on weekends — that's when our markets and events come to life From time to time, you'll be jumping in to support key events, soak up the buzz, and be part of what makes our weekends so special. Think incredible food, live music, and the occasional dog in sunglasses — all part of the vibe. Not exactly your average desk job.

What we're looking for:

* 3-5 years of experience in event marketing, brand management or integrated campaign roles — ideally in events, retail, hospitality, or tourism.
* Proven experience creating and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable ROI.
* Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills — from designers and councils to internal teams.
* Creative thinker with commercial sensibility. You know when to be bold, and when to stick to the brief.
* Excellent written and verbal communication – from social media posts to internal presentations.
* Comfortable managing media schedules, campaign calendars, budgets, contractors, and creative suppliers.
* Confident working autonomously while keeping multiple plates spinning.
* Bonus points for experience in precinct, festival, or placemaking activations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop the marketing strategy for key events, market launches, and precinct projects (e.g. Eat Street activations, new market openings, twilight events, etc.)
* Develop, manage and implement campaign plans — from concept to wrap report.
* Develop design briefing, approvals, printing, distribution, and supplier relationships.
* Coordinate with councils and community partners to align campaign messaging with regulatory needs and community goals.
* Deliver campaign content in collaboration with the internal marketing team, including EDMs, media releases, flyers, social contents, and event signage.
* Manage third-party suppliers (designers, printers, media buyers, PR agencies) and internal resources to execute on deadlines.
* Contribute to broader brand strategy conversations and identify opportunities for innovation and audience growth.
* Track campaign performance and provide post-event reporting and recommendations.
* Jump in on-site at activations, openings, and key events to ensure everything lands just right — from brand visibility to visitor experience.

To Apply:

If this sounds like your dream gig and you're ready to help shape some of Queensland's most-loved events, we want to hear from you.

Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter (be sure to creatively include the words"scarecrow"somewhere in your response, we won't miss it). Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.

Salary:$95,000 – $105,000 (based on experience)+ Superannuation
