Our team is seeking a skilled Mining Operations Engineer to join our close-knit group of experienced underground mining professionals. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative environment that values teamwork and open communication.
* The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and setting the weekly production and development schedule, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
* They will conduct regular underground inspections of production areas to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that enable efficient operation and planning.
* Additionally, they will complete engineering tasks as required, including ring designs, production plans, and survey plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
* On a daily basis, they will track production and development activities, comparing them against forecast and making adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
* As part of their duties, they will undertake geotechnical inspections and develop minor rehabilitation plans to address geotechnical issues or hazards.
* They will also assist in incident investigations and reporting, providing valuable insights to improve our operations and ensure a safe working environment.
