About the Role:

This is an opportunity to play a vital role in implementing and monitoring rehabilitation projects, ensuring long-term sustainability of mine sites.

The roles will be based onsite at our Myara Mine, located in Western Australia. We're offering this chance as two part-time positions, each working three days a week. The roles are designed to work back-to-back, with a one-day crossover each week for collaboration.

You'll use your expertise to guide our Operations Team. While you won't have direct reports, you'll be a critical resource, providing high-level advice and guidance.

Our team will rely on your experience to make business-critical decisions that support operational superintendents. To succeed, you'll need substantial prior experience in mine planning and/or environmental roles within the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead field inspections and audits of rehabilitation works to drive continuous improvement.
* Provide training and environmental advice to rehabilitation operational teams, and the wider organization.
* Contribute to the development of rehabilitation policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Collect and collate data for GIS, reports, and KPI dashboards.
* Assist the research team to coordinate rehabilitation trials and monitoring.
* Act as site liaison for government representatives, including the Department of Environment and the Water Corporation.

What You Can Bring:

* Degree in earth science, environmental science, or engineering is highly desirable.
* Extensive experience in mine planning or environmental roles within the mining industry.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Prior experience in bauxite mining is a significant advantage.
