YOUR ROLE
Bunzl Australasia is a large and diverse corporate group based in Mulgrave, Victoria. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and detail‐oriented internal controls or audit professional early in their career to support our Internal Controls Over Financials Reported (ICoFR) Program across APAC.
In this role, you'll work closely with Internal Controls and Line 1 Control Owners to help strengthen our control environment, uplift governance standards, and gain exposure across a broad, multinational business. You'll be involved in hands‐on controls testing and improvement activities while developing your technical and stakeholder‐engagement skills. Initially, this role is based across our Mulgrave and Dandenong South offices (3 days per week).
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Execute the Internal Controls Programme, including maintenance of Risk and Controls Matrix and testing activities, in line with established methodologies and timeline.
* Perform control design and operating effectiveness testing by preparing comprehensive testing documentation in Highbond, including test paper and supporting documentation.
* Collaborate with Line 1 control owners across APAC business units to implement new controls and ensure required control documentation is developed and maintained.
* Contribute to monitoring, reporting, and control improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
ABOUT YOU
* Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
* CA or CPA qualified (or working towards).
* 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in internal audit or internal controls (Big 4, mid‐tier, or large /complex organization).
* Exposure to SOX or similar control frameworks.
* Curious, analytical, detail‐focused, and keen to learn.
* Experience with GRC systems, data analytics, and Microsoft Office tools is an advantage.
