About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Perth team.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design on building projects. They will be able to work independently on a wide range of projects with strong project management skills.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and managing projects from initial planning, concept and brief, through to installation and commissioning. They will demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge and provide oversight and supervision to ensure successful project delivery.
In addition to technical expertise, they will also be required to represent the company externally to Clients, playing a senior and active role in managing these relationships and generating repeat business.
They will work closely and develop trusted relationships with other project stakeholders, notably architects, contractors, builders and end users to achieve efficient and cost-effective solutions with a high-quality outcome.
The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to contribute to the overall strategy and development of the Mechanical team and the company culture.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A Mechanical Engineer Degree or equivalent;
* Ideal 8 years previous HVAC design engineering experience in Consulting within the Building services industry;
* Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards;
* Working knowledge of Revit and other software;
* Experience planning and managing successful projects;
* Willingness to establish and maintain strong client relationships to formulate repeat opportunities;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines;
* Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic;
* Adherence to professional standards, ethics and quality procedures.
