About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Male Personal Carers to join our team, providing high-quality care and support to elderly clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering person- centred care in alignment with the needs and wishes of each client, focusing on maintaining comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
* Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
* Offer emotional and social support, helping clients and their families navigate challenging times
* Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition
* Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of clients, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals
* Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare providers, and families to provide tailored care to each client
* Implement palliative care approaches, focusing on pain management, comfort, and emotional support
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards
Essential Requirements:
* Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
* Experience working in aged care environments
* Understanding of palliative care principles and practices
* First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* National Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care
Desirable:
* Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
