Novita is South Australia's established provider of therapy, assistive technology, community programs and community living services for people with disabilities. This casual role is based in Kadina.
About the Role
This role supports people with disability across a variety of settings. As a support worker you will deliver individualised care in clients' homes, the community, and the office, and where required, provide overnight respite care.
Responsibilities
* Deliver individualised support in clients' homes, the community and the office
* Provide overnight respite care as needed
* Promote client independence and community inclusion
* Work collaboratively with a supportive support team
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support or Community Services (or working towards)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work respectfully across diverse backgrounds
* Comfortable with personal care, mobility support and behaviour management
* Reliable, flexible and committed to empowering others
Certifications and Training
* Willingness to undertake mandatory training such as medication management, NDIS Worker Orientation Modules, CPR and others
* Driver's licence (minimum P2) and willingness to drive personal and Novita vehicles
* Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain before commencing work)
