Primary objective
The Games and Experience Officer for Alice Springs Masters Games 2026 supports key operational areas including
participant services, community and cultural engagement, games accreditation and registrations, and event-day
coordination. The role will work closely with volunteers, workforce, and local stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery across
games services, workforce coordination, and community activations. From managing registrations and catering logistics to
supporting inclusive community programs and coordinating office operations, the role will be central to creating a
memorable, welcoming, and well-organised event.
Context statement
We're looking for a dynamic and community-focused Games Experience Officer to help deliver an outstanding experience
for participants, volunteers, and the local community at the 2026 Alice Springs Masters Games.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Work within the team, and closely with the NT Chamber of Commerce, and Tourism Central Australia to drive local
business engagement in the Games.
2. Coordinate a roster of community engagement and Cultural Inclusion activities, in partnership with local groups and
events.
1. Manage the rollout of cultural activities and ancillary activations to create a vibrant atmosphere in the township over the
course of the Games week.
4. Manage participant and volunteer registrations through the Events Air platform.
1. Coordinate the production and distribution of event accreditation.
2. Contribute to the management of the Games Registration Centre, including oversight of the rostered operational
volunteers.
7. Coordinate the rostering and management of the Games casual workforce and volunteers.
8. Assist with phones, daily administration, and general office duties as required, ensuring strong internal communication
and event coordination.
9. Work closely with fellow coordinators and the Event Manager to ensure tasks are aligned, responsibilities are shared
effectively, and overall Games operations run smoothly.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated event, venue, sports or project management skills across a diverse portfolio of events and venues.
2. Ability to work well in a team whilst taking responsibility for your own work.
3. Demonstrated ability to remain productive whilst working under external pressures.
4. Proven customer service skills including sound oral and written communication skills and experience working with the
general public. Experience in local business engagement and community development is desirable.
5. Proven sound administration skills and ability to adapt to new software programs.
6. Current valid drivers licence, First Aid certification and/or ability to obtain.
