Sydney Electrician Australia Pty Ltd is a leading telecommunications and electrical contractor with over a decade of experience servicing major infrastructure providers, including NBN, Telstra, Optus, and TPG through key delivery partners such as Downer, Ventia, UGL and Service Stream. As our operations grow, we are seeking a qualified Telecommunications Service Technician to join our dedicated and high-performing team.

• Install, test and repair telecommunications equipment including copper and fibre systems.
• Perform fault finding, network assurance and restoration activities.
• Work with fibre-to-the-node (FTTN), fibre-to-the-curb (FTTC), fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP), and fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) technologies.
• Complete cross-connection and jumpering within FTTN nodes.
• Perform Network Termination Device (NTD) and Premises Connection Device (PCD) installation and activation.
• Operate and update job status using platforms such as OMMA.
• Comply with WHS regulations and follow secure work practices on all job sites.

• Minimum one-year full-time experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance, preferably within the NBN or Telstra network environment.
• Proven experience in both copper and fibre technologies.
• Sound knowledge of cabling protocols and telecommunications systems.
• Accreditation or proven skills in structured cabling, fibre splicing, and network testing tools.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and organisational skills.
• Demonstrates a high regard for WH&S principles and always displays safe work practices.
• Physically fit and adaptable to different site conditions.
