Summary
Participates with care teams to provide patient-focused care, maintains adaptability to daily operations, interprets instructions, and works professionally in a medical office environment.
Minimum Education & Experience
* Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
* One (1) year related medical office experience, externship, or relevant education
Skills & Qualifications
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and EMR
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
* Maintain HIPAA confidentiality
* Ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations
* Ability to travel between locations as needed
* Ability to handle bodily fluids and exposure to communicable diseases
* For SHMG employees: BLS certification within six months of hire
* Pass yearly clinical skill competencies
Physical Demands
Medium exertion, ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and handle objects weighing 20-50 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $19.04/hr - $22.85/hr, based on experience and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and more.
