Our client is a highly respected agribusiness operating across several farming sites in Victoria, specialising in free range egg production. With a strong commitment to bird welfare, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, the business maintains a dynamic, safety-first culture that values leadership, accountability, and innovation. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Supervisor to join their team at their key Kerang VIC location to help oversee 6 sheds and around 400,000 hens.
The RoleReporting directly to the Farm Manager, the Farm Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day farming operations and leading a team of Farm Hands. This role is critical in ensuring livestock welfare, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and biosecurity protocols. You will lead by example, promote a strong safety culture, and support the development of Shed Supervisors to meet quality, safety, and production KPIs.
Responsibilities
* Monitor bird welfare and take immediate action on any concerns including addressing environmental or behavioural issues;
* Supervise and mentor Farm Hands, fostering a proactive and engaged team culture;
* Maintain site safety by participating in the OHS&E program;
* Ensure accurate farm documentation and daily records;
* Oversee site maintenance, including grounds, plant, equipment, and pest control;
* Coordinate with veterinarians and act on their recommendations;
* Adhere to and enforce strict biosecurity procedures.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Poultry Production and/or Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (advantage but not essential);
* Demonstrated experience in leading a team;
* Proven experience in farm operations, livestock handling, and team supervision;
* Forklift Licence;
* Chemical Handling Training;
* Current Driver's Licence;
* Strong computer literacy;
* Applicants must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
LocationBased in Kerang VIC.
Remuneration An attractive remuneration package will be offered, based on skills and experience. Including onsite accommodation and a 4 day on 4 day off schedule.
