What does an Atlassian Systems Administrator do at NextGen?
As an Atlassian Systems Administrator, you will manage, configure and optimise the Atlassian toolset (including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo) to support product development, project delivery Sf and internal collaboration. You will ensure our instances are secure, performant and aligned with best practices, collaborate with teams to design workflows and automation, and provide expert support and training to users.
Key Responsibilities
* Atlassian Suite Administration: Manage users, permissions, and project/space creation across Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bamboo and Fisheye.
* Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as a key point of contact for investigating helpdesk tickets, resolving permission issues and managing tool integrations.
* Process Documentation: Execute administrative tasks using established playbooks and take the lead in developing new documentation where none exists.
* System Upgrades & Maintenance: Support the testing and deployment of application or plugin updates, including occasional after‑hours support for critical upgrades.
* Reporting & Metrics: Generate ad‑hoc and scheduled reports to provide system insights and assist end‑users with optimising their use of the tools.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Relevant experience in an administration or support role; Atlassian tools administration experience is not essential but would be advantageous.
* Understanding of or exposure to Atlassian tools.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non‑technical teams.
