The Role The Senior Support Engineer plays a critical role in providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring other support engineers. They ensure system stability, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate with various teams to enhance customer satisfaction. This role requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service Provide escalation support to Support Engineers Lead projects relating to the building and staging of equipment for project rollouts Provide formal and informal training to peers, support engineers and other colleagues Configure, deploy and administer LAN, WAN, security and remote access technologies Support customers with a wide variety of platforms and technologies Conduct Research and Development into new products and processes to assist our customers Identify areas for improvement and action the required remediation Build and configure desktops, servers and networking hardware. To be successful in this role you will need: Cert IV in Information Technology and/or relevant qualification or minimum 7 years experience in the IT industry Demonstrated Windows Server experience, Microsoft 365 experience Demonstrated security appliance and/or software experience Practical experience with Microsoft Desktop and Server (Windows 10, Server 2016 - 2022, Active Directory, Exchange etc.) Experience in typical SMB networking technology (LAN Switching, Wi-Fi, Routing and Edge Firewall) – demonstrated capability with Cisco equipment will be advantageous Knowledge/experience of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) will be highly regarded Class C driver's licence About You: Able to multitask and work well under pressure Well-developed communication and analytical skills Genuine desire to work hard, learn fast and grow with us Able to work proactively and autonomously Technology is both your profession and your passion, and you'll share that passion with your colleagues and customers. What you need to know Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible and willing to obtain AGSVA NV1 clearance (Australian Government Defence security clearance).
