Specialist in Neurology - MSNI (Fractional)
Applications are invited for a Specialist in Neurology (MS and Neuroimmunology and CAR-T Cell Neuroimmunology) to commence from 2 February 2026, working 7 hours per week.
The MS and Neuroimmunology Service at The Alfred was established in late 2017 and has expanded to include outpatient clinics four days a week across Alfred campuses. The service leads a CAR-T cell neuroimmunology program with in- and out-patient multidisciplinary care, and includes a Director of MSNI, a Head of Neuroimmunology, and eight additional consultants. The multidisciplinary team includes two clinical MSNI nurses, research nurses, physiotherapists, neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, and dietetics.
Appointees must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in MS and Neuroimmunology (specifically experience with CAR-T cell Neuroimmunology) is required, as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Neurology.
