The position holder will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the Cancer Care Service. Responsibilities include the provision of specialist Cancer Care services to emergency patients, inpatients and outpatients at the relevant hospital, ensuring high quality Cancer Care services to all patients within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. 
The role is primarily based at the Illawarra Cancer Care Centre, with inpatient services to Wollongong Hospital and outpatient services to Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital. Responsibilities Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the Cancer Care Service. Deliver specialist Cancer Care services to emergency patients, inpatients and outpatients at the relevant hospital. Proactively contribute to development of Cancer Care services and promote a culture of learning and best practice. Support and facilitate medical oncology research within the department.
