You will plan and oversee the preparation of the annual financial statements and manage the associated external audit process, annual FBT returns, monthly balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management.
What you’ll do:
* Prepare and manage internal and external financial reporting obligations, ensuring that all supporting documentation and schedules are completed regularly including Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Coordiante and manage the preparation of the Audited Annual Report including managing the relationship with the external auditors.
* Assist with treasury management, including overseeing daily bank reconciliations, weekly cashflows and budgeted cashflow.
* Oversee fixed asset reconciliation process, including acquisitions, disposals, WIP and capitalisations
* Prepare budgeted cashflows as part of the annual budget process.
* Review Finance policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the organisation.
* Review processes within a view to improve and drive efficiencies where possible.
* Support the Financial Planning and Analysis team with relevant budget items.
* Manage the taxation obligations including calculation and reporting for both GST and FBT for the organisation. This includes preparation of monthly BAS.
* Actively engage personnel within department to grow, build and develop their competency in building the high-performance culture.
* Build and maintain the necessary technical expertise, capability and capacity for the function to fulfil function objectives and maintain high professional standards.
* Assist in any other area as directed by the Line Manager or delegate.
What you’ll need:
* CA/CPA Qualified
* Minimum 7 years experience
* Ability to manage and resolve complex matters.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen.
* Understanding and knowledge in regards the Australian Accounting Standards.
* Experience in FBT/GST obligations.
* Demonstrated people management and leadership experience at a manager or team leader level.
