We currently have multiple positions available for Full Time Senior Security Officers to join the team at The Royal Children's Hospital.
You will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all staff, and visitors to sites. Reporting to the Security Team Leader, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services in a high-pressure environment.
You must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, on 4 days on (2 days, 2 nights) 4 days off roster.
What You'll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
* Provide security service across the Hospital and assist in developing measures to minimize the exposure to security risk
* Patrolling the premises and responding to emergency incidents
* Monitoring all CCTV, alarms, telephone and radio systems, lift and access door operations
* Review and capture CCTV footage for any incident or event
* Monitor the access control system during shift
* Capture data and run reports from the access control system
What You'll Bring (education and experience required)
Education:
* Certificate III in Security Operations
* Current Victorian Security License
* Must have Control Room Operator Endorsement.
* Monitoring Centre Endorsement
* Current Working with Children Check (Victoria)
* Victorian Driver's License
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years in a Senior Security role including Control Room environment
* Exposure to crowd control in places of mass gathering
* Identifying and setting priorities within a complex security environment
* Good knowledge of security alarm and management systems, including access/egress, CCTV and building automation management systems
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
* Knowledge of customer service practices.
* Team member - works effectively as a member of a team and assist others with completion of duties to ensure all daily tasks are completed on time.
* Skills in conflict resolution
* Focus on quality -maintains standards set by service specifications and standard operating procedures
