Based at our Gracemere Office, this is a senior role required to lead the successful delivery of Queensland operations.
Some key duties and task would include the following:
* Financial management of Queensland operations including management of projects to budgets
* Hands on with management of projects; tendering, delivering, organisation of resources and being over the detail with the delivery team
* Acquire intimate knowledge about Queensland market and customer requirements to achieve an optimal match with group capabilities and ascertain that the group supports Queensland operations in the most beneficial way
* Manage structures and systems for Queensland which correspond to the expectations of the overall company
* Commercial management including risk management, contract management and technical supervision of projects.
* Build and maintain good management relations with clients, technical experts, authorities and other external bodies.
* Management, development, coaching and supervision of direct and indirect reporting employees ensuring company values are effectively maintained
* Participate in succession planning to ensure business development and growth is maintained.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements relating to Quality, Safety and Environmental regulations and laws.
* Ensure all work undertaken is safe, and a leading safety culture is implemented.
* Oversee all project tasks necessary to ensure satisfactory performance of the projects in a safe and timely delivery to budget, quality and technical requirements is achieved.
* Lead the relationship with client representatives and other project stakeholders by recognising their goals, objectives and initiatives and embedding this understanding in the project team to positively influence how they behave and interact.
* Maintain and develop relationships with clients to build enduring relationships.
* Assign and monitor the duties and ongoing performance of your direct reports.
* Share your knowledge to provide a legacy that will benefit Rhomberg.
* Review and validate all tendering, cost estimate and project delivery methodologies including their development from time to time.
* Ensure the project is governed to achieve the stated profit margins and when risks arise during project delivery these events are sufficiently mitigated.
* Ensure the project team keep and maintain accurate records needed to manage and discharge Rhomberg's contractual obligations.
About you:
* Minimum of years' experience in a project management / civil engineering role preferably within the rail industry
* High awareness of OH&S legislation, including Construction Industry Induction Card
* High computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, and other project management software as applicable to the role
* Highly effective communication, written, oral and decision-making skills.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, logic, and rational thinking under pressure
* Excellent rail construction experience including delivery and contractual knowledge.
* Team player with strong work ethic, integrity, and aptitude
