What's the role?
• Provide comprehensive medical assessments, diagnose and manage health conditions focusing on the cultural, physical and emotional needs of patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records, respecting cultural sensitivities and confidentiality.
• Use culturally appropriate communication and a patient-centered approach.
• Participant in case conferences and adapt treatment strategies.
• Be flexible in clinical care and health education to meet community needs.
• Be adaptable ad willing to take on diverse clinical tasks to meet the evolving needs of the community.

What's it like living in Nhulunbuy?
The town of Nhulunbuy is the main population centre in the East Arnhem Land region. This area in Northeast Arnhem Land has been home to the Yolngu Aboriginal people for at least 40,000 years. While Nhulunbuy is the name of the town, and Gove is the name of the peninsula where the town is located, the two names are used interchangeably.
With a population of around 3,350, Nhulunbuy has all the facilities expected in a modern town, including three schools, a district hospital, two shopping centres, two childcare centres, restaurants and sporting facilities. It also hosts a surf club, boat club and golf club with a nine-hole course.
Recreational activities are high on the agenda in Nhulunbuy. A number of clubs offer a range of sports for both adults and children. The friendly social atmosphere at sporting events makes Nhulunbuy the type of town where residents and visitors can give anything a go. Located on the edge of the Arafura Sea, the waters offer a plentiful supply of marine life.
Nhulunbuy is accessible by four-wheel-drive vehicle and via regular commercial flights from Darwin or Cairns.
