Your Impact. As the Head of Department, you will lead curriculum development, ensure quality and compliance, and foster positive relationships within the academic community. Your leadership will be pivotal in guiding students towards successful careers in Chinese Medicine, contributing to the growth and recognition of this essential field.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Leadership: Oversee course planning, design, and continuous improvement to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
2. Quality Assurance: Ensure educational resources, assessments, and courses meet high standards of quality, consistency, and compliance.
3. Academic Staff Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of qualified academic staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
4. Student Success: Develop strategies to support student retention, completion, and academic success, ensuring access to necessary resources and support services.
5. Networked Operations: Manage academic operations, collaborate with the Academic Leadership Team, and ensure efficient workflow.

What You Bring

1. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities with a focus on strategic thinking and problem-solving.
2. Academic Expertise: A Master's degree in a relevant field, with a PhD or professional doctorate preferred.
3. Commitment to Excellence: Dedication to maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and student support.
4. Collaborative Spirit: Ability to foster positive relationships within the department and across the college.
5. Contemporary Knowledge: Up-to-date with developments in Chinese medicine, informed by ongoing scholarship, research, or practice advancements.
6. Teaching Skills: Proficient in modern teaching, learning, and assessment principles, tailored to the needs of diverse student cohorts.
7. Current Registrations: Must have current registration with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
