We are a busy and friendly Specialist Obstetric and Gynecological ultrasound practice, based in both Wollongong and Shellharbour. We are seeking an experienced and patient‑focused Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team immediately. This role suits someone who thrives in a medical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
About the Role
As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in supporting patients and keeping the practice running smoothly. Responsibilities include:
* Greeting patients and providing high‑quality customer service
* Managing appointments, referrals and patient flow
* Answering phones and responding to enquiries
* Processing payments and Medicare claims
* Assisting sonographers with administrative support
* Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
What We're Looking For
* Experience in medical reception or healthcare administration (radiology experience highly regarded)
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* A caring, professional, and patient‑centred approach
* Ability to multitask in a busy environment
* Confidence with computers and medical software
* Availability for an immediate start
* Reliability, maturity and good attention to detail
