Key responsibilities include:
* Helping individuals achieve their NDIS goals by developing essential skills like housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting.
* Assisting with personal care needs as required, prioritizing the well-being of each client.
* Supporting meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitating community connections through socialization and outings.
* Providing assistance during daily activities, such as walks, movie nights, or accompanying clients to appointments.
* Maintaining relationships between clients and their families, friends, and service providers.
Requirements and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
* A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
* Previous experience working in Community and SIL environments or supporting people with complex disabilities will be highly valued.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers.
* The ability to meet physical demands, as some manual handling tasks may be involved.
* Commitment to confidentiality and respect for clients' privacy.
* Proficiency in computer software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Hold or obtain necessary certifications, including Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid, CPR, and National Criminal History Check.
