Saltair Modular is an award-winning Queensland builder specialising in high-quality modular residential and commercial construction. With manufacturing facilities in Coolum Beach and Brisbane producing up to 1,800 modules annually, we're continuing to grow and are looking for a skilled Boilermaker to join our production team.
The Role
As a Boilermaker at Saltair Modular, you'll play a key role in fabricating and assembling high-quality modular components in a controlled factory environment. You'll work closely with production teams, engineers and supervisors to meet production targets while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. This role will see you working across factory, yard and site-based environments depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble steel and aluminium components for modular units
* Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
* Read and interpret technical drawings and work packs
* Assemble frames, walls and structural elements
* Carry out quality checks and ensure dimensional accuracy
* Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely
* Maintain welding equipment and tools
* Adhere to WHS, environmental and quality management systems
* Contribute to continuous improvement across production processes
About You
* Strong MIG and TIG welding capability
* Competency in aluminium welding (or proven experience welding aluminium components in a production or construction environment)
* Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
* Sound knowledge of WHS requirements
* White Card and valid driver's licence
* Highly regarded:
* Current welding certifications (AS 1796 / AS/NZS 1554)
* Experience in modular, manufacturing or off-site construction environments

Casual rate $49.66/hr (Daily overtime - $69.53/hr )
Full time rate $39.73/hr (Daily overtime - $59.60/hr )
