About Raise Your Spirit
Raise Your Spirit (RYS) is not your average support organisation. We're here to lift spirits, spark joy, and make every day count, especially for young people living with disabilities. We specialize in performance and wellbeing programs for 7 to 25 year olds, offering 1:1 support, day programs, in-home care, getaways, and skill-building adventures. Whether it's Animal Adventures, Game Days, DJ Zones, or mindfulness walks, we do things differently. We believe every person has something extraordinary to offer, including our participants and our staff.
The Role
We're looking for exceptional Happiness Coaches (Support Workers) who believe in the magic of connection and creativity. We welcome applications from all genders and particularly encourage men to apply so our team reflects the young people we support.
?? You'll work 1:1 with participants, building trust, skills, and confidence, whether it's through outdoor play, cooking, crafting, gaming, or simply being present.
?? If you DJ, skate, play footy, sing, fish, game, bike, dance, paint, cook, gym or have a passion that makes people smile, we want you.
You'll work both independently and as part of a vibrant team. Sessions can run weekdays, after school, and weekends. We find a schedule that works for everyone.
What We're Looking For
?? You love helping and inspiring others
You connect easily with young people aged 7 to 25
You can commit to regular hours and show up reliably
?? You're confident providing 1:1 support and understand the importance of building real rapport
? You're willing to commit to at least 12 months with any participant you support—we pride ourselves on consistency and stability
You're creative, hands-on, and genuinely engaged—not just on the sidelines
You have interests like music, gaming, cars, art, or movement
You have experience—or deep interest—in supporting people with disabilities
?? You're patient, kind, and emotionally intelligent
You're studying or qualified in allied health, nursing, disability, education, youth work or just a great human
?? You're punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
You Must Have
A caring heart and positive attitude
Willingness to provide 1:1 support—our clients thrive with individual attention and connection
12-month commitment to any participant you're matched with
Consistent availability (set days or flexible options)
Driver's licence + reliable car
Police check + Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
Current First Aid & CPR certification
Right to work in Australia
