About the role
As ENMP Network Architect you will play a critical role in overseeing Architect, design, delivery, and integration of enterprise network solutions, including their successful transition to the future state. By following existing frameworks, you will provide high quality technical solutions and resolution to complex problems.
The role works closely with business, portfolio, technical and project peers and is required to develop constructive relationships with several senior staff across the Department.
Specific duties will include:
4. Define and implement the Architectural Design Authority for ENMP.
5. Act as definitive authority for ENMP architecture, in consultation with Service Owners, Service Providers and technical specialists.
6. Work with the MSP to deliver detailed architectural documentation and artefacts to support ENMP delivery efficiently and effectively.
7. Elicit solution requirements and demonstrate credibility and technical leadership across a range of technologies.
8. Work with the MSP to design leading network and cloud integration solutions to meet business requirements and ENMP benefits.
9. Demonstrate a broad knowledge of complementary products relating to network extension for data centre security interfaces, network optimisation and general network technologies.
10. Produce technical plans, blueprints and roadmaps to articulate the business and technical benefits of the solutions being proposed.
11. Deep technical knowledge in architecting, designing, and integrating new solutions in a large-scale enterprise of highly distributed applications having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, maintainability, etc.).
12. Contribute to business case definition, particularly to quantify IT benefits and risks and to estimate IT costs, timing and dependencies.
13. Prepare and review specifications, test plans, procedures, policies and other technical and non-technical documentation, according to Airservices frameworks.
14. Ensure existing network systems comply with CASA, ICAO, international/national standards as well as internal technical, safety and security standards.
15. Accept technical delegation and associated responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
16. Extensive experience in network solution architecture at an enterprise level.
17. Demonstrated experience in planning, requirements definition, solution architecture and integration across legacy and emerging network and telecommunications technologies.
18. Solution design and documentation at conceptual and detailed level.
19. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare written documents on technical, and non-technical matters in ways that engage the audience and ensure understanding.
20. Notable experience in network architecture, IP networking and security.
21. Experience delivering significant network transformation programs.
22. Solution design for end-to-end Hybrid Cloud networking solutions.
23. Solution design using Software Defined Networking (SDN).
24. Solution design covering end to end enterprise Edge Security.
25. Knowledge of proxies, load balancers and network performance application management F5 and Bluecoat).
26. Knowledge with firewalls and gateways Palo Alto and Checkpoint).
27. Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and interpret critical information to form an accurate understanding of the business environment in which systems operate.
28. Tertiary qualifications in Architecture/Technology. TOGAF certification. Extensive knowledge in TCP/IP networking and security.
29. Australian citizen and have Baseline Security Clearance or the ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
30. Previous experience working with common industry standards and frameworks such as ITIL, ISM, ISO27000, COBIT, TOGAF, P3M, SIAM, etc.
