About the position
The Labourer position is required to ensure that staff, members of the public, and other stakeholders remain safe while achieving the efficient delivery of desired levels of service for park infrastructure within the Toowoomba region. Primarily, the position is responsible for the specialised maintenance and construction of parks infrastructure and assets including playgrounds in accordance with National Standards.
This position will work under general supervision.
* The base wage rate for this position is $1,232.68 gross per 38 hour week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
* This is a Permanent Full time position based at our Principal Depot in Charlton.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria
1. Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description.
2. Demonstrated numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
3. Good customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate and timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
4. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively, safely and ethically under general supervision, using discretion in the selection and organisation of work processes and resources.
5. Ability to perform physical labouring tasks and to complete work neatly and efficiently in terms of expected standards of service.
6. Ability to interpret National Standards in relation to playground assets.
7. Understanding of and commitment to Council's Organisational Value and Behaviour of Accountability.
