We are excited to offer an opportunity for a full-time Small Animal Specialist Surgeon to join our expanding referral team.
You will not be working in isolation. Our surgical service is supported by a highly experienced part time Surgical Specialist, locum Surgical Specialist, a full-time Internal Medicine Specialist, senior Emergency & Critical Care veterinarians, highly skilled surgical and ECC nursing teams to ensure collaborative case management and strong clinical support at every step.
Clinical Scope
Our current and growing scope of practice includes:
* Orthopedic surgery including TPLO, fracture repairs, total hip management
* Neurosurgery including hemilaminectomy, ventral slots, spinal fracture and stabilization
* Advanced soft tissue surgery
* Minimally invasive surgery
* Complex referral cases
* Multidisciplinary case collaboration between ECC, Internal Medicine, Imaging and Anesthesia
About You
* Diplomate status with ACVS, ECVS, or FANZCVS preferred
* Board-eligible candidates will be considered, with a negotiable study and exam support package
* Must be eligible for registration in Australia
* Strong interest in working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary referral and emergency environment
* Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and leadership skills
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and mentorship of those around you
