This role is primarily suited to an Audiologist with a strong interest in aural rehabilitation and hearing aid services, including patient counselling and long-term outcomes.
While the core focus is on rehabilitation, there is also an opportunity to progress into vestibular diagnostics and advanced assessments over time. This is an optional career pathway for clinicians who wish to expand into more specialised diagnostic work.
There is also scope to develop skills in implantable hearing solutions. While prior experience is not essential, we will support the right candidate with training and mentorship to develop in this area. At the same time, if your strength lies in rehabilitation audiology, you will be supported to further develop and excel in that space.
Key Responsibilities
* Comprehensive hearing assessments (adult and paediatric)
* Delivery of services under the Hearing Services Program (HSP)
* Hearing aid fittings, programming, and rehabilitation
* Microsuction (training provided)
* DVA assessments and rehabilitation services
* Paediatric audiological assessments
* Preparation of high-quality clinical reports for GPs and specialists
What you will bring
* Qualified Audiologist (Audiology Australia membership)
* Eligible to work under the Hearing Services Program
* Strong interest in aural rehabilitation and patient-centred care
* Excellent communication, counselling, and reporting skills
* Motivated to grow clinically and develop new skills over time
* Interest in implantable hearing solutions and/or vestibular diagnostics
* Values teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning
Location
Ipswich and surrounding regions (Karalee, Boonah, and outreach clinics).
Occasional travel may be required.
