Location: St Leonards, NSW
Contract: 6 month fixed term
Rate: $48.00 per hour
Work pattern: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH per week
Key responsibilities
- Assess and determine licence applications, renewals and variations in line with legislation, policy and delegation.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based briefs and recommendations for revocation, conditions and closure orders.
- Draft correspondence, operational reports and ministerial material that are concise and legally defensible.
- Maintain accurate case records and manage workflow through licensing databases.
- Escalate complex or sensitive matters and help resolve stakeholder issues.
- Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and stakeholder confidence.
Who will thrive
- Experienced in a high-volume regulatory or licensing environment.
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to apply legislation and policy consistently.
- Able to manage competing priorities, work independently and collaborate as part of a small team.
- Good IT skills, especially Word, Excel and record management systems.
- Legal or administrative decision-making experience along with brief writing and reporting highly regarded.
