Role Description
This is a casual role (full-time hours), on-site Warehouse & Forklift Operator role based at East Arm, NT. The role involves safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, and stack freight and materials. Responsibilities include receiving and checking incoming goods, preparing orders, packing and palletizing items, and staging freight for dispatch. The Warehouse & Forklift Operator will assist with container unpacking, freight consolidation, and accurate documentation of shipping and receiving activities. The role also includes maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, performing basic equipment checks, and working closely with the operations team to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Shipping & Receiving, including checking deliveries, verifying documentation, and preparing freight for dispatch.
- Proficiency in Unloading and Material Handling, with the ability to move, sort, and store freight safely and efficiently.
- Experience with Packing and palletizing goods to meet safety, quality, and transport standards.
- Valid forklift license and proven Forklift Operation skills, including safe loading, unloading, stacking, and movement of freight.
- Strong focus on safety, including adherence to WHS procedures, hazard awareness, and safe manual handling practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment, including lifting, standing, and working in outdoor or warehouse conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors.
- Basic computer or scan-based system skills for recording inventory, freight movements, and job documentation; experience with logistics or warehouse systems is an advantage.
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or warehousing, particularly in remote or regional operations, is highly regarded.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport to and from the Darwin, NT site.
