Assistant Stock Auditor

About the Role
As the Assistant Stock Auditor, you'll play a key role in supporting end-to-end stock audits, analysing discrepancies, and contributing to improved inventory controls. Working closely with the Stock Auditor, you will assist with store visits, prepare audit documentation, investigate stock variances, and help implement loss prevention initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in inventory, stock control, or retail administration who enjoys a mix of data analysis, problem-solving, and working on-site with store teams.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with scheduling and conducting stock audits across retail sites.
Gather, verify, and record stock and transaction data with accuracy.
Document audit findings and assist in explaining discrepancies.
Process count variances in inventory systems within required timeframes.
Support the identification of stock loss, theft, or shrinkage patterns.
Contribute to process improvements and loss prevention strategies.
Provide support to store teams on stock take and inventory control procedures.
About You
You will thrive in this role if you have:
Experience in inventory, stock control, retail administration, FMCG, or similar environments (2+ years ideal).
Strong data accuracy, analytical skills, and organisational ability.
Good communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with store teams.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
A valid Australian's driver's licence (travel to stores required).
A proactive, reliable, and professional work ethic.
Experience with inventory management systems is highly regarded. Exposure to loss prevention or risk management principles is an advantage.
