About The Opportunity
The Bush Regenerator Traineeships are focused on developing vocational and employability skills for long‐term unemployed and disadvantaged job seekers and providing them with a pathway to employment. Trainees will work full‐time for 18 to 26 weeks, earn a Certificate I level qualification in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, and gain practical experience in real work situations that align with their training. They will receive a mix of career advice, job preparation skills and foundation skills.
The trainee is responsible for undertaking accredited training and natural resource management (NRM) activities, including bush regeneration, weed control, revegetation, landscaping, nursery work and light construction.

* You may have previous volunteering experience in environmental, conservation, or community projects (not essential).
* You are eager to learn new skills and develop practical knowledge in bush regeneration.

* You are enthusiastic about growing with the industry while contributing to the long-term health of natural environments
What You Will Gain From This Program
* You will undertake a full‐time paid traineeship during the course of this contract.
* Gain a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management.
* Gain accredited training in Senior First Aid, White Card, ACDC Chemical Operators Certificate and chainsaw operation and maintenance.
* Undertake practical work in bush regeneration, plant propagation, tree planting, track maintenance and other tasks aligned with your training.
* Receive assistance to gain work following the traineeship.
Who is Eligible?
Participants Must Be
* An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on a pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen.
* Unemployed.
* No longer enrolled in school.
