About the role
Peninsula Village is launching a dynamic new role of a Workplace Health and Safety Physiotherapist.
Reporting to the Executive Manager - Quality and Organisational Development, you will be responsible for implementing a WHS program with a focus on injury prevention and management for employees.
Key responsibilities include:
* Oversee and report on the organisation's WHS program.
* Conduct pre-employment functional assessments.
* Implement strategies to create a workplace that focuses on injury prevention including supporting staff individually.
* In collaboration with the Workforce Coordinator, offer rehabilitation services as part of the Return to Work program.
About you:
Essential Criteria:
* Commitment to engage and align with Peninsula Village ICCARE Values.
* Current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
* Experience working with workplace injury prevention and management and aged care manual handling.
* Return to work rehabilitation program.
* Experience in a flexible, multi-skilled team environment and advanced interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
* Commitment to quality improvement through evidence-based practice.
* Effective organisational and time management skills.
* Strong administrative and computer skills.
Desirable Criteria:
* SIRA Rehabilitation Provider accreditation.
* WHS qualifications
* Experience and knowledge of the Medicare claiming system.
