Job Summary:
This role focuses on on-ground delivery of pest animal management programmes with a strong emphasis on controlling feral pig populations and other priority pests.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct field operations to reduce the impact of feral pigs and other invasive species
* Assist with surveillance compliance and control programmes
* Work directly with landholders, community groups and partner agencies to deliver coordinated pest management activities
* Support emergency biosecurity responses and contribute to recovery programmes when required
We are looking for motivated, practical and adaptable individuals who enjoy hands-on fieldwork. You will bring:
* Knowledge and/or qualifications in agriculture, biosecurity, pest management or natural resource management
* Experience with pest animal management and safe use of pesticides (or willingness to gain this knowledge)
* Capacity to obtain and maintain a NSW Firearms Licence and relevant Statement of Attainment for humane animal destruction
* Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability to work flexibly across the region
