Production labourers – Carole Park - $36 p/hr + Daily Overtime (Day shift) (BH-38709)

We are seeking experienced Production Labourers for Hand Sorting roles at a national leader in building product manufacturing. These positions are located at Carole Park and offer free onsite parking. Roles are temporary-to-permanent after three months.
The Client:
A national brand specializing in the cement and timber building industries, located in Carole Park.
The Role:
As a Hand Sorter and production labourer, you will work in a team environment to sort sheets of timber, load them onto machinery for cutting and shaping, and manage inventory and shipping preparations. This is a labour-intensive role involving handling large and oversized products up to 6 metres in length.
You will also be required to have an LF Forklift licence to progress to a permanent role.
Main Duties:
* Loading timber sheets onto cutting machinery
* Manually stacking oversized sheets and products onto pallets
* Loading oversized pallets (up to 6 metres)
* Counting stock
* Checking stock for defects
* Performing quality assurance checks
* Wrapping and strapping pallets
* Operating pallet jack
* Matching paperwork to orders
* Transferring products from rework area to strapping area via counter balance forklift
* Shrink wrapping pallets
* Palletising goods
* Packing goods
This is a loud, dusty, and sometimes dirty environment.
The Candidates:
* LF Forklift and counter balance forklift operating experience
* Experience working with oversized pallets and freight
* Pick packing and palletising stock
* Experience shrink wrapping (both manual and machine operated)
* Experience with oversized stock such as timber and wood products
* Wrapping and strapping pallets experience
* Ability to lift products up to 20 kg
* Ability to check goods for quality assurance and defects
* Excellent attention to detail
* Previous experience in a fast‐paced environment
* Excellent WHS knowledge
* Commitment to hold the role on an ongoing basis
