Senior Bookkeeper Role
The role of Senior Bookkeeper involves overseeing daily financial activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
About the Job
* Process monthly journals and transactions, maintaining accurate records for all accounts receivable, payable, and cash book entries.
* Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, and superannuation returns in accordance with ATO regulations.
* Liaise with payroll service providers for weekly/monthly processing and record in the general ledger.
* Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
* Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including liaison with external accountants/auditors as required.
* Maintain an up-to-date Fixed Asset Register.
* Monitor and manage cash flow, controlling operational expenditure in line with company objectives.
* Support management with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.
* Ensure adherence to ATO regulations and company policies, maintaining a culture of compliance within the organization.
