We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Strategy & Business Development Manager to Lead the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), Australia and New Zealand business development team to identify, shape, develop and capture business opportunities and deliver programs in the MFC sector that includes IAMD, Air Dominance and Strike Weapons, Tactical Missiles, Sensors and Global Sustainment.

The successful candidate will be a proven self-starter and team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and has a pro-active, customer-centric outlook and a track-record in the Aerospace, Defence and National security sectors. Ideally, the candidate has experiences working in or with governments, and a knowledge base of regional procurement processes would be mandatory.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for the Strategy & Business Development Manager include (but are not limited to):

· · Provide leadership, required to explore, assess, develop and implement a comprehensive MFC Australia and New Zealand business development strategy, including identification of customer needs, opportunity identification, shaping requirements and qualification. Foster Horizontal Integration across LOB's and LM Corporation to increase the probability of new business success. Assist MFC LOB's in winning follow-on/sustainment business and new business.

· Maintain exceptional professional relationships with key stakeholders within the Australian and New Zealand governments, and more broadly, industry and USG regional organisations.

· Operate as the central Point-of-Contact (PoC) within Australia and New Zealand for Lockheed Martin MFC strategy and business development. Partner with MFC Lines of Business (LOB) Business Development Leaders and Global Business Development to maintain a broad perspective of customer needs and requirements.

· Ensure coordination of MFC international efforts with related LM Corporate efforts, including open and quality communications with all team members (customers, LOB's, LM Corporate Field Offices, consultants and Export Control).

· Provide non-advocate, independent assessments of MFC Australia and New Zealand opportunities. Ensure Customer qualification, competition assessment, and factor in US Government international policies, Export Control requirements, business case analysis, offset considerations and technology transfer to ensure opportunities are thoroughly reviewed and assessed.

· Conduct business according to the highest ethical and legal standards.

· Create a positive work environment for all personnel incorporating effective communications, timely performance feedback and opportunities for personal growth, incorporating career plans and use of mentors.

· Provide an environment of trust and teamwork and listen, develop motivate and respect all personnel.

· Ensure awareness and compliance with company policies / procedures / command media.

About you:

You will enjoy mentoring others, creating a positive work environment and seeing your team succeed. With impeccable communication skills and a knack for building lasting relationships, you will be a highly experienced and professional Senior Manager, with a proven track record in successful strategy development and capture management within aerospace, defence or national security environments.

You will also ideally have the following:

· · Strong contemporary knowledge and understanding of MFC related technologies in the defence or national security sectors

· Tertiary qualifications in technical fields or equivalent experience in defence or national security operations

· Proven experience with bid or capture management of a major program and/or in a large company

· Knowledge of the US Government's Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process

Special Requirements:
