Overview 
Well established educational institution is replacing its Student Information systems over the next 12 months and as such, needs a Data Analyst, where you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets, identifying trends and patterns, and communicating findings to stakeholders across the business. 
Responsibilities 
- Data collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets 
- Identify trends and patterns and communicate findings to stakeholders across the business 
- Collaborate with the Senior Business Analyst and another Data Analyst to support the implementation of improvements for the current system 
- Contribute to streamlining workflows and enhancing performance across departments 
What you will bring 
- The ability to stand on your own two feet as a Data Specialist. 
Good interpersonal/teamwork skills and a team playing approach 
- Able to effectively communicate with others both technically and non-technically to allow thorough scoping of work 
- Data Migration Expertise: Technical knowledge to manage the migration of large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity throughout the process 
- Data Cleansing and Validation: Skills in preparing and cleansing data for migrations, ensuring the data transferred into any new system is accurate and reliable 
- Strong skills around ETL, SQL, Python and Data Warehousing 
Desirable skills 
- Microsoft Fabric 
- APIs for extracting data from systems such as enquiry tracker and toucan tech 
- Spark Notebooks and spark jobs (preferably python) for ETL of data into medallion structure and for transforming data to fit new SIS structure 
- PowerBi for report creation
