About the Role
The Executive Manager Client Services (EMCS) is a key executive leader, primarily responsible for driving The Association for Services to Torture and Trauma Survivors (ASeTTS) operational excellence.
This position acts as a key support to and works under the broad direction of the Chief Executive Officer. The role is responsible for ensuring all aspects of client services are delivered to a high standard. This role exercises responsibility for the strategic development, coordination, delivery and monitoring of our client's services, including (but not limited to) :
Counselling services
Community development services
Services to children and youth
Intake and triaging
Training and Professional Development.
This position guides and monitors operational performance against strategic and contractual KPIs, quality assurance activities, program evaluation, and clinical supervision arrangements.
Strategy and Governance
Support the CEO and Executive to achieve strategic priorities, objectives and operational plans.
Ensure the delivery of legislatively and contractually compliant services that meet the therapeutic, cultural, linguistic and social needs of clients, their families and communities.
Lead internal quality assurance activities.
Identify and implement opportunities to strengthen clinical governance.
Leadership
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary, intercultural team.
In collaboration with the Executive, foster innovation, nurture positive culture and implement strategy.
Monitor standards of care, regularly review work priorities, policies and processes, and drive accountability.
Provide leadership and guidance on clinical and community issues to enable delivery of best practice programs.
Service Management
Monitor and control performance of programs, services and staff.
Ensure sound health and safety practices are adopted.
Respond to critical incidents.
Ensure information systems are used appropriately
Ensure timely preparation of data-driven reports for the CEO, Board, and funders.
Stakeholder and partner relationships
Nurture productive relationships with government, referring agencies and other stakeholders.
Explore partnership models of service delivery.
Promote awareness of the organisation in the community
Participate in or lead research and policy development in partnership with stakeholders.
Executive Management
Deputise for the CEO if and when required and assist the CEO in all functions related to the works of that position.
Attend Governance and Risk Committee meetings and prepare reports for the Board.

About You
We are searching for a clinically sound leader with senior management experience who is at executive management level or looking to take that next step. You bring
Essential Criteria
Minimum of 3 years' senior leadership experience in health, mental health, human services or community development services.
Experience in a senior client services role (clinical registration highly desirable).
Recognised tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or related discipline.
Advanced understanding of trauma-informed practice relating to delivery of mental health programmes, trauma rehabilitation and recovery-oriented principles and how they translate into practice, and relevant Legislation, regulations, contractual requirements and standards of practice.
Demonstrated cross cultural competency.
