About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Manager/Sommelier to ensure the smooth running of daily operations at a stunning venue with incredible views of the city skyline and harbour.
This is a dynamic role that includes ensuring sections of the venue are adequately staffed, employees are competently trained, building and sharing knowledge in beverages, and providing exceptional customer service to all guests.
The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years' experience in fine dining or a similar position and possess high attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and excellent knowledge of wine and liquor.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure efficient operation of daily services, including adequate staffing and employee training.
* Build and share knowledge in beverages to enhance the guest experience.
* Provide exceptional customer service to all guests.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in fine dining or a similar position.
* High attention to detail, communication, and strong leadership skills.
* Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and resolve problems efficiently.
* Excellent knowledge of wine and liquor.
* Knowledge of WHS procedures and rules, food allergies, etc.
* Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster (day and evening shifts).
