Leading financial services organisation are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join the team.

Our client is a well known, financial services organisation with an ANZ remit, who are in a phase of positive, proactive transformation within their procurement team and are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join their team in Melbourne.
Working as a key stakeholder within a medium scale procurement function, you'll join a collaborative and proactive team with an excellent culture, and have the opportunity to work on business critical technology procurement and vendor management activities.
**Your new role**
You will be responsible for leading and contributing to technology procurement, sourcing and vendor management initiatives, partnering with a variety of stakeholders to ensure procurement activity is aligned with business requirements and objectives. You will be part of a broader technology procurement team, with a portfolio that is focused particularly on cybersecurity and networks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of various strategic procurement activities from planning through to contract award and beyond, working closely with a broad variety of stakeholders internally to ensure their operational and commercial needs are fulfilled
- Driving effective vendor, partner, and supplier relationship management across a broad portfolio of technology suppliers
- Managing strategic sourcing activity with a view to engage mutually beneficial suppliers
- Ensuring all relevant governance and compliance frameworks are adhered to when managing procurement and vendor management activity
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you'll be an established procurement professional with considerable experience operating in a mature corporate procurement environment, with extensive experience managing technology focused procurement activities.
Key experience and competency required will include:
- Experience working across a technology focused portfolio of partners and vendors is essential to be considered
- Ability to confidently manage complex, multi faceted sourcing events from information gathering to contract award and beyond
- Experience within financial services or insurance would be advantageous, though non-essential
- Strong stakeholder management, persuasion, relationship and influencing skills
- Well-developed commercial acumen
- Experience in supporting change management activities in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently within a large organisation
