Job Description:
The role of Regional Equipment Maintenance Manager is a critical position within our organization. This individual will oversee the maintenance operations for regional equipment, ensuring that it is safe, reliable, and cost-effective.
Reporting to the Operations Manager - Southern Region, this leadership role works closely with Branch Managers, Workshop Supervisors, and operational teams to deliver high-quality service standards and long-term fleet sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor Workshop Supervisors and teams across VIC & TAS
* Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
* Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and IMS requirements
* Drive cost control, asset utilization, and profitability outcomes
* Collaborate with senior managers on fleet strategy and planning
* Oversee workshop performance, repairs, and equipment records
* Support training and development of technical staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires a trade qualification relevant to heavy equipment or mechanical field, along with strong leadership and operational management background. Experience in hire, construction, transport, or heavy industry is also essential. Proficiency in MS Office and computerized maintenance systems is necessary, as well as excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, auto-electrical, and heavy vehicles are required.
