The Role

This role is focused on achieving and exceeding Sales and Profitability targets within Victoria. Working alongside our customer service and warehouse staff, you will overlook and manage all residential sales to ensure achievement of budgeted targets. The successful candidate will provide direction and leadership, fostering a culture of team spirit, quality, Palram procedural compliance and legislative adherence. Establishing an environment of trust, professionalism and strong relationships with clients is key. The diversity of the role will offer an opportunity to sell on a technical, creative and commercial levels across the specification area.

Responsibilities

* Plan and direct sales activities within a specified state / territory / area or product category
* Prepare detailed sales reports from field sales / area representatives / sales managers. Interpret results and take corrective action to achieve sales targets
* Participate in developing marketing plans for the area / category and recommend modifications to marketing strategies based on market trends in the state
* Prepare an annual sales forecast / budget and advise management on the marketing strategies required to achieve sales targets
* Perform ad-hoc duties as required by the State Sales Manager / Sales & Marketing

Essential Requirements

* Minimum 5 years sales experience, with preferred experience in the Building Supplies Market
* Strong understanding of commercial / industrial and retail markets, ideally in the markets served by Palram
* Tertiary education with technical skills ideally within Hardware / Trade / Roofing / Commercial - Industrial and Retail markets
* Strong business acumen, strategic thinker and excellent communicator
* Transformational leadership Style
* Strong EQ Skills (particularly self-awareness and the ability to develop personal relationships)
* Analytical and Problem solving skills
* An ability to make strategic and difficult decisions
