On the Great Barrier Reef, we manage Heron Island, a true coral cay accommodating up to 280 guests, and Wilson Island, an exclusive eco-luxury retreat with just nine Reef Safari Tents.
We're seeking a Sales Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis based at Surfers Paradise.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow brand awareness, drive occupancy, and contribute to the success of two extraordinary destinations.
Responsibilities
Administration of rates, contracts and customer service for local, retail, wholesale and inbound travel agents.
Support the sales team operationally and administratively in the achievement of department's predetermined sales and revenue targets.
Create and curate compelling visual and written content to showcase our hotels, services, and events.
Liaise and communicate with guests, agents and various departments and managers.
Coordinate with the reservations team and all functions plus the front office teams to ensure all rates and policies and procedures are kept up to date.
Assist the event & groups coordinator accuracy in group quotes and timelines.
Maintain image library, artwork and campaigns including newly refreshed online image gallery.
Ensure all team members adhere to Resort Policies and Procedures.
Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; basic proficiency in Excel functions is required.
Excellent time management and organisational skills with a natural sense for initiative, innovation and an ability to prioritise tasks.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience.
Hospitality or tourism industry experience is required.
Minimum Certificate or Diploma qualification in Hospitality or Tourism.
Australian work rights required at the time of application.
