About the opportunity
The School of Psychology at the University of Sydney are currently seeking an experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate in Social Psychology. This position is funded by an Australian Research Council (ARC) project ‘RESPECT Against Racism : Advancing new anti-racist educational e-modules’ (LP240100299) between ARC, The University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, University of Technology Sydney and The Cool Australia Trust.
Your key responsibilities will be to work closely with the research team and Cool.org to :
develop seven new online RESPECT Against Racism modules
recruit Schools, Teachers and Students
conduct and evaluate focus groups with teachers
organise meetings and liaise closely with researchers, PhD students, Education Specialist and IT Specialist
conduct base-line, short- and long-term evaluations of the effectiveness of the online modules
coordinate and manage all phases of this project including ethics clearance, statistical analyses, data analysis and manuscript preparation.
About you

a PhD in Social Psychology or related discipline with a strong research track record
experience in successfully managing large-scale research projects
experience working and conducting research with primary school-aged children
an understanding of the Australian Primary School Curriculum
excellent scientific writing and critical thinking skills
measurement and statistical skills in both quantitative and qualitative research approaches (i.e., conducting meta-analyses; running focus groups, statistical analyses etc).
