Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Service and Parts Yard, supporting daily rental equipment operations, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily routines in the Service and Parts Yard to maintain efficiency and organization.
* Perform pre-start checks on rental equipment, including security inspections.
* Conduct pre-start checks on service equipment like forklifts, gantry cranes, and trailers.
* Clean and maintain equipment to high standards.
* Assist Service and Parts teams as needed to support smooth operations.
* Carry out general cleaning duties around the yard and work areas.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to their implementation.
* Maintain accurate documentation in line with company policies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Previous experience in a similar trade-related role is preferred.
* A full Driver's Licence is essential.
* Willingness or ability to obtain High Risk Licences (Forklift, Rigging, EWP, etc.).
* Basic computer skills and ability to work with standard software.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
* Commitment to safe manual handling and workplace safety.
