The Opportunity
The Sales Coordinator will support the sales and commercial operations of the abalone business by managing customer orders, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of products. The role plays a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships and providing operational support to the sales and marketing functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage incoming customer orders and enquiries, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
* Act as customer contact person regarding product availability, existing pricing, and delivery.
* Maintain and update customer records, pricing agreements, and order history in the company CRM/system.
* Assist with preparation of sales quotes, invoices, and supporting documentation for domestic and international customers.
* Monitor stock levels in coordination with operations to ensure customer demand is met.
* Assist in resolving customer complaints or order discrepancies, escalating to management where required.
* Track key sales metrics and provide regular reports to management on order status.
* Liaise with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
* Coordinate shipment schedules, documentation, and export requirements for international orders.
About You
* Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
* Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with domestic and international customers.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and documentation.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple orders, and meet deadlines.
