Core Talent is partnering with a growing civil engineering business seeking a motivated and organised Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Homebush.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within accounts and administration. Working closely with the wider team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the business across finance, payroll support, supplier coordination, and general administration.
This is a fully office-based role offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to grow within a supportive environment. Osnite parking available.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing shared accounts and invoice inboxes
* Processing invoices, bills, receipts and credit notes
* Uploading and coding supplier invoices within Xero
* Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
* Handling supplier and invoice queries
* Assisting with contractor payments and supplier payment runs
* Reconciling supplier statements
* Supporting payroll preparation and timesheet processing
* Chasing outstanding timesheets, invoices, and compliance documents
* Completing credit applications and maintaining account records
About You
* 1+ years experience in administration, accounts, finance support, or office coordination
* Strong attention to detail and high level of organisation
* Confident communicator with the ability to follow up professionally
* Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
* Experience using Xero or similar accounting software highly regarded
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
* Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
