Product Test Manager – Residential & Industrial Electrical Products
ScrumCraft is hiring a Product Test Manager to drive testing excellence across a globally recognised portfolio of residential and industrial electrical products.
This role is ideal for an experienced technical leader who thrives in test strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and building high-performance engineering environments.
You'll lead a team working across verification, validation, compliance, and continuous quality improvement ensuring every product meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the Test Engineering Function
Own the end-to-end test strategy across product categories, ensuring alignment with design, certification, and industrialisation.
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary test team (Test Engineers, Certification Engineers).
Develop and refine test processes, test frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee creation and execution of test plans covering functional, performance, compliance, reliability, and environmental testing.
Ensure testing rigor through structured methods such as root-cause analysis, SPC, audits, and continuous improvement frameworks.
Drive test optimisation, automation opportunities, and data-driven quality insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with product development, mechanical/electrical design, industrialisation, and certification teams to embed testing early in the product lifecycle.
Streamline test and certification pathways within agile delivery cycles to support iterative product release planning.
Liaise with external labs and suppliers to ensure test coverage, supplier quality, and adherence to standards.
Governance, Quality & Standards
Maintain oversight of compliance-related testing activities and ensure alignment with AS/NZS, IEC, UL, EESS, EMC, IP, and other regulatory frameworks.
Lead audits, ensure ISO, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
Report on quality metrics, defect trends, and cross-functional issue resolution outcomes.
What You Bring
Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
Extensive experience in V&V, quality engineering, or product testing leadership roles.
Proven ability leading test teams in complex engineering environments.
Strong understanding of compliance, product certification processes, and regulatory frameworks.
Hands-on experience with structured testing methods, quality tools, and lab coordination.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience in residential or industrial electrical product development is highly desirable.
Bonus: Experience working within agile product development environments.
